Hot Docs

The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is the largest festival of its kind in North America. Since its inception in 1993, the festival has screened around 150 documentary films from Canada and around the world each year, with 2012 seeing a record attendance of over 165,000, featuring 189 films from 54 different countries. 2012 also saw the renaming of the Bloor Cinema in Toronto as the Hot Docs Bloor Cinema after the festival’s purchase of the cinema in 2011.

One of the largest festivals in the city of Toronto, Hot Docs is a great opportunity to explore the world of documentary filmmaking.
